Summer Camps 2009

There is a camp for everyone no matter their age or ability level.

Camp Information will be mailed out sometime in February, but if you would like to come by the office and pick up a form, they are located in our lobby.

The Junior Musical is Willy Wonka Jr., the Senior Musical is Singin' in the Rain!!

Although our season concludes with our annual May Show, the fun doesn't end there. APAC has a variety of summer camps to offer for all ages. From Birth all the way through Adults, there is something for everyone to get involved in this summer! Attending summer camp at APAC is a great way to continue your child's education and keep their creativity at a productive level.

Pre-registration is required. Your check is your reservation. Tuition refunds are only available up to two weeks prior to each event's starting date. There is a printable registration form at the bottom of this page.

All APAC Camps are first come, first serve and will be closed to new enrollment once the camp has reached student capacity.

Kindermusik Camps...

Busy Days! (Closed)

Set your baby's day to classical music, with a little more Tchaidovsky in your "Twinkle, Twinkle" repertoire. Discover new ways baby benefits from the classics as you dvelop an appreciation for the world's most respected music. Each lesson features new activities & songs that the parent can sing for all the places baby & mom go together; the store, playground, the doctor, & more.

AGE: Newborns - 1.5 years (Accompanied by Mom and/or Dad)

WHEN: Monday June 8, 15, 22, 29 and July 6

TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.

Creatures in the Ocean!

Sing sailor songs and make the ocean count. "Five little seashells lying on the shore: Swish! Went the waves and then there were four." Make homemade kites and fish sandwiches using fish-shaped bread and P.B. and J.

On the Road! (Closed)

Re-live your childhood with your child. Every song is likely to revive a memory from your summers' past. Play "Eye Spy" & find shapes in the clouds to pass the time. Take imaginary trips in a bus named "Van Go" to fun-filled vacation destinations such as the carnival, a summer cottage, & the beach.

AGE: 3 - 5 years (First 45 minutes for preschoolers only. Mom and/or Dad please join us for the last 15

minutes for a special sharing time.)

Sign & Sing (Closed)

A different approach from other sign language programs. Through songs, toys, and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you more than 50 signs your child can use to communicate with you. Using research-proven methods shown to speed language development in hearing children, you'll see how sign language can ease frustration and enhance long-term learning abilities for your child.

AGE: 6 - 36 months (Accompanied by Mom and/or Dad)

WHEN: Every Tuesday & Thursday June 9th - July 9th

TIME: 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Dance Camps...

Tinkerbell's Dance Camp

It's time to gather some magical pixie dust and join us for an unforgettable time of dancing, creating, dreaming, and learning with Tink. Preschoolers will experience five days of pre-ballet dance, craft activities, scrumptious treats, new friendships and forever Neverland memories. Camp size will not exceed 14 preschoolers.

AGE: 3 - 5 years (Preschool Age)

WHEN: Monday, June 8th - Friday, June 12th

TIME: 10:30 a.m. - noon

WHERE: Dance Studio A at APAC

FEE: $120.00 tuition

(Preschoolers will bring home a scrapbook & created materials at the conclusion of the camp. They will

Tinkerbell's Dance Camp II (Closed due to enrollment)

Camp II is for those who missed Camp I or couldn't join due to the class reaching capacity. This camp meets one week later. Camp size will not exceed 14 preschoolers.

AGE: 3 - 5 years (Preschool Age)

WHEN: Monday, June 15th - Friday, June 19th

TIME: 10:30 a.m. - noon

WHERE: Dance Studio A at APAC

FEE: $120.00 tuition

(Preschoolers will bring home a scrapbook & created materials at the conclusion of the camp. They will

"Five for Five" Dance Camp

This camp is designed for both experienced and inexperienced dancers, who have completed 6th grade & older who are interested in learning five styles of dance in five days: Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Salsa. Campers will be challenged to the level of their individual abilities and have the opportunity to grow in self-confidence and knowledge as dancers and performers. A studio showcase will be presented on the final day of camp. Camp size will be limited to 20 students.

AGE: Completed 6th grade and older

WHEN: Monday, June 22nd - Friday, June 26th

TIME: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Dance Studio A at APAC

Musical Theatre Camps...

Introductory Musical Theatre Camp I

This camp is for any child who has completed kindergarten, first, or second grade and is interested in singing, dancing, and acting! We will spend a week learning music and choreography to perform in a camp showcase at the conclusion of the week together. Campers will learn many musical and performance skills as well as discipline, the ability to work well with others, audience etiquette and so much more. Camp will conclude on the final day of camp with a 4:30 showcase. Enrollment will not exceed 20 campers.

AGE: Completed Kindergarten - Completed 2nd Grade

WHEN: Monday, June 8th - Thursday, June 11th

TIME: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Dance Studio A at APAC

FEE: $150.00 tuition

Jr. Musical Theatre Production Camp

If your child loves to sing, dance, and act on stage, or has always wanted to and was a bit shy or didn't know how, then this camp is their big chance! Join us for two very busy and incredibly fun weeks of casting, learning, memorizing, choreographing, dancing, staging, preparing, and performing a production. Additionally campers will be educated in theatre etiquette, self-respect, team-work, discipline, vocal techniques, acting skills, and so much more. The camp will culminate in a live production of a junior musical. The first week will be spent at our APAC Studios where campers will spend time getting to know each other and the directors, as casting, rehearsing, and intensive preparations for the production begin. The second week will take place at the Historic Paramount Theatre where all will be staged and rehearsed for the Friday evening production. All Campers Will Be Cast!! No Audition or previous experience is required in order to participate in this opportunity of a lifetime!! Enrollment will not exceed 50 campers.

AGE: Completed 3rd - Completed 5th Grade

WHEN: Monday, July 20th - Staurday, July 25th; continuing Monday, July 27th - Friday, July 31st

TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Paramount Theatre: Monday, July 27th - Friday, July 31st

FEE: $300.00 tuition

PRODUCTION: Friday, July 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Paramount Theatre

Sr. Musical Theatre Production Camp

Attention all aspiring performers!! How about an opportunity to take your stage skills to a new level?!? Join us as we venture into a full-stage production incorporating both experienced and inexperienced students from all walks of life. Whether you are a performer and want to be in front of an audience, or you would like to be a part of the technical crew, there is a place for you in this camp. The first week will be spent, casting, rehearsing, choreographing, and staging the musical, as well as building and preparing set pieces, gathering costumes, developing lighting/sound cues, and other technical aspects that are imperative for creating a quality show. The final week will continue at our APAC studio and move to the Historic Paramount Theatre's stage for the final two days in preparation for a closing camp production. All Campers Will Be Cast!! No audition is required in order to participate in this camp. Enrollment will not exceed 50 campers.
